One hundred and thirty-six colorful binders contain more than 23,000 hand-selected and pasted articles from Austrian and German dailies, weeklies, and monthly magazines dating from the early 1970s. Johanna Dohnal, the former Austrian women's minister, donated an impressive collection from 1980-1982. The clippings enable a broadly diverse view, offering quick access to lesbian visibility and public presence generated by women, a useful spark for your inspiration!

Chaotic? Certainly not! The collection has been organized according to a system of subject headings and ordered chronologically within each category. Also available are articles concerning artists, women actors or the situations of women in various countries – all arranged alphabetically. Due to the speed of the news media and the shortage of personnel and finances, there is a slight time lag between the clipping and archiving, however, for anyone with a knack for cutting and pasting, scissors and glue are at your disposal, just give us a call!
