On-site UsageDue to Corona the following regulations apply actually to the use of the library and archives. STICHWORT is primarily conceived as a women's* space and as a place of discussion for women*. All those who are interested have the opportunity to use STICHWORT by appointment. For corona reasons, an appointment is actually necessary in any case. An request for use of the archive is necessary for the use of the holdings of women's and lesbian groups in Austria, of preliminary and posthumous papers as well as of the picture and sound archive. All holdings can be looked into on-site at STICHWORT; a research computer is available for use – we gladly provide assistance in searching for literature in our holdings and with online research in other women-specific databases. Online search for library holdings and magazines! The working spaces in the reading room have electrical outlets for laptops and WLAN. BorrowingSTICHWORT is a reading library. It is possible to borrow books up to two weeks. Magazines and archival documents cannot be borrowed, nor can items beginning with the signature “R” be borrowed from the library. An interlibrary loan is not possible. Copies of Articles and ResearchWe tailor literature lists to specific topics and collect facts and data in dossiers around specific questions, mail out photocopies, and organize book/documentation orders and loans via electronic documentation providers in our feminist research service. Loans for Exhibits and Publicationsof either originals or reproductions are possible. We gladly provide information about the conditions, costs and formalities. We ask to be contacted in due time. |
