Photos

The photo collection documents several women’s groups, protests and events since the seventies, such as, for example, a May Day protest from the end of the 1970s, an International Women’s Day rally from 1981 or the Feministisches Lauffeuer (Feminist Wildfire) from 1992.

At the present the collection entails about 10,000 items – above all positives, as well as slides and items in electronic form. As only a small part of the activities of the autonomous women’s movement in Austria are illustrated through the current collection, we hope for  donations of material in this area.

The photo collection can be searched through on-site in the STICHWORT database according to topics, women’s groups, occassions as well as according to form-related criteria. Loans for exhibits are possible.
